We’re excited to share that NAMI Maryland Moves is here a renewed, statewide movement walking for mental health across Maryland. This next chapter represents how we are moving forward together, building awareness, reducing stigma, and strengthening community connection through action.
As part of this movement, we are gearing up for NAMIWalks Maryland 2026, and to help lead the way, we are currently recruiting our NAMIWalks Maryland 2026 Steering Committee. If you’re receiving this email, it’s because you’ve been identified as a top candidate for this very special group of volunteer leaders.
Why Join the Steering Committee?
The NAMIWalks Maryland Steering Committee works closely with NAMI Maryland staff to plan, organize, and execute our largest mental health awareness and fundraising event of the year.
This group plays a critical role in:
Raising funds that directly support NAMI Maryland programs
Reducing stigma and increasing mental health awareness statewide
Building a supportive, welcoming community for individuals and families impacted by mental illness
Committee members take on leadership roles aligned with their interests and strengths, including:

Logistics Chair
Sponsorship Chair
Team Recruitment & Retention Chair
Marketing/PR Chair
Mission Chair
